UX case study: an audio tour app for an Indian art gallery
- Client
- UX case study
- Year
- 2024
- My role
- UX designer
The problem
Research pointed to three problems: menus that are hard to navigate for people who aren't comfortable with apps, tours that don't hold attention, and visitors who only have a few minutes.
In the field
- Worked through empathise, define, ideate, prototype and test
- Built two personas and mapped a full tour, from logging in to ending the tour
- Audited the NGMA Audio Guide, the National Gallery of Art app and Muzeus
- Sketched with Crazy 8s, then moved to wireframes and a high-fidelity prototype
What I made
A simpler interface with voice commands, quick two-to-five-minute tours alongside full ones, and ideas for AR features to keep people engaged.
What changed
- A clickable high-fidelity prototype with a video walkthrough
